The Atomic ST1 comes from the factory pre-environmentally sealed with the Christolube/Tribolube (depending on the vintage of the ST1 because apparently Atomic switched from Christolube to Tribolube recently).

I'd say go with the Atomic but then I'm biased.

I don't know what you all might consider cold water diving but Scuba Pro's Mk 25 1st stage with the S600 is on the US Navy's list of equipment and authorized for use to 190' and down to tempertures of 38 F.

The A700 also would test as well or better and additionally has a specially designed exhust port to keep bubbles away from your face. As a user of this regulator I apperciate the clear view all the time.

When it comes to cold water perfomance and the Mk25 I and the US Navy disagree with those that think the Mk25 has a problem there.

I love the breath-ability of my Atomic Z2x. Unfortunately it didn't come with cold water kit but I am adding it today! So I am set for winter! :)

I like the Apeks. I have seen sealed Atomics leak grease when taken somewhere warm. It is just messy. Service costs for the Atomics could be higher because you have to replace the christolube. That stuff is not cheap. If your doing your own service, it is still a mess to clean.
