I will be starting a Openwater SCUBA Class at the YMCA of Glendale.
The class is on Sundays, 8:30 a.m. pool sessions, 86F, indoor. Lectures are in the
afternoon till 3:30 p.m. There will be 5 to 6 pool sessions. You get plenty of practice
before going to the ocean.
You can email me via this board or my earthlink email for more information.

My wife and I are finishing up this course right now as students. It really has been everything I was looking for in an OW certification program in Los Angeles. The time invested was very much well worth it. I have also seen my wife's confidence and comfort level with the equipment and the ocean vastly increase with Tom's help. He really is a great instructor who cares about training you to be competent. His goal is not to churn through as many students as possible. Rather, he will take the time to make you repeatedly practice skills over and over until he is comfortable that you have gotten it. He also has you spend a lot of time in the water with all your equipment swimming laps or executing tasks in order to get you comfortable with everything. If you need more time on skills, he works with you.
