Open Foot vs. Full Foot Fins

Full foots are great for boat diving - no messing around with booties, especially on the second dives when they're wet.
That said, I use open heel UDT's with treacherously slippery thin booties. I don't beach dive anymore - did it for years to make a living, and that was more than enough.
 
I use a pair of Apollo Bio Full foot when boat diving on a winter tropical vacation and Tusa Open Heel Zooms in the cold water here at home.

I really prefer the full foot on the dive boat. It's just one less thing to manage on a boat and one less thing to pack for a trip.

Functionally, I don't think it matters a bit what you use on a boat! Shore diving from a rough surface or cold water is a different story.
