Be forewarned dive shops of Holland. When you see a “big guy” ( 6’3” 300+lbs.) walk in on Saturday with an odd grin. Don’t be afraid!!!!! It is only a guy from Alpena highly infected with cabin fever!!!!

I am going to be in Holland this weekend for a family event and plan on stopping in at a couple of the local dive shops and check them out while there.

Let’s see…..Ocean Sands in open 10-5 on Saturday and Adventures in diving…….Whoops!!!! DAMN THOSE WINTER HOURS!!!! Don’t blame them.

So anyone I am missing?

I also call on your assistance. My wife, a MUCH smaller blonde, may be accompanying me. She has expressed an interest in learning to dive. I, in no way want to pressure her. I only ask that if she accompany me, if you could possibly share some of your diving experiences. She is having a bit of a confidence problem. Honestly, if she can handle me, she can handle anything.

If you want to have a bit of fun, her name is Staci. Pull a Cheers thing and greet her “Hey Staci” first.

See ya Saturday!!!

Jeff

I thought you meant Holland as in The Netherlands and was going to suggest you have this moved to the European forums. Fortunately I know enough about Midwestern geography to know there is a Holland, Michigan!

After buying some new dive gear you should head over to the New Holland Brewery for a real "Cheers" experience. Looking at your measurements you may be able to fill the role of Norm.

One question are you 6foot 3inches or 7foot 3inches.........>

Why?
Don't you believe Jeff is 67' 3" tall?
I've never known him to lie, but maybe a typing class might be in order.

Life is too short, enjoy yourself Thunder Bay Minnow!

Alright!!!! A brewery!!!!!

I found out the place we are staying doesn't have a lounge.

Damn!

6'3" Sorry and corrected.

Let's see Advance does have Saturday hours! Woo Hoo!!!

On your drive over from Alpena you should stop off at Founder's Brewery in Grand Rapids. Very nice deco stop. Or if coming a very roundabout way, go through Bellaire and stop by Short's Brewery and Traverse City Brewery in TC. I know, I know they are really out of the way. However, if you think about it, they are not that far out of the way and there are a few dive shops up there.

If you are really bored, come on down to Benton Harbor and visit "Wolf's Dive Shop" and marine supply. There is a brew pub called the "Livery" (a former stable) a couple of blocks away. You can also stop in to "Larks" and get your car hand washed while you have some of the best bar b que you will ever find.
