More tall ships today. One from Canada came in then back out. Unsure about the other.
 
A whole show of sailboats will be on the island




COZUMEL, August 19 .- It is expected to carry out a show of sailboats from various countries, so this Sunday arrived on the shores of Cozumel the emblematic sailboat Cuauhtémoc, with Mexican flag, which will be part of the "Regata Velas Latinoamérica 2018" which will have as a penultimate recess the visit to the port of Isla de las Golondrinas from Monday until Wednesday, August 23.
According to the Navy-Navy Secretariat of Mexico, it was reported that large sailboats from eight countries in Latin America, including the Cuauhtémoc School Ship, will arrive on Monday in our country where the regatta that began in April in Rio de Janeiro will end. Janeiro, Brazil and after a journey of 157 days, navigating the littorals of Latin America and the Caribbean, in a route of more than 12 thousand nautical miles (more than 20 thousand kilometers) where the most important cities of Brazil, Uruguay were visited , Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Curacao, Dominican Republic, will now touch the port to touch the first point of Mexico, being the Island of Cozumel.
In this festival will be present the big sailing ships "Libertad" from Argentina, "Cisne Branco" from Brazil, "Esmeralda" from Chile, "Gloria" from Colombia, "Guayas" from Ecuador, "Unión" from Peru, "Simón Bolívar" from Venezuela and the Ambassador and Knight of the Seas: Vessel School "Cuauhtémoc" worthy representative of our country that has carried around the world a message of peace and friendship, respect and unity, goodwill and commitment.
Because previous trip to the port of Veracruz, the sailboats will be in the port of Cozumel from August 21 to 23, so they have prepared various activities open to the public.
Among the main activities is access to ships so that citizens can visit them in the following order: this Monday, August 21, access will be allowed from 11:00 until 20:00; while on Tuesday, August 22, the accesses will be from 10:00 to 20:00, referring that the ships will be distributed in the three different international docks.
Likewise, on Tuesday, August 22, a gastronomic exhibition is planned through the Canirac, for which citizens are being summoned to participate from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Benito Juárez Park, as well as in the Esplanade of the Flag, hoping that visitors and locals can live a unique experience of brotherhood among so many countries.

That was great. It was a 2 dive trip, but I talked them into driving up and down the parade and 1 dive. Took several shots with my real camera. Photos later.
