Hi friends , I am still looking for a good deal for a place in Ubud and Sanur ,thanks to some of you I have found a great deal at Tulamben!! But there is one more thing , I have not ever had to use my card over the internet that far away to have a room reservations , Is it known to be a problem with the card holder??? Thanks one more time to you all,,,rickr......

Hi,
I stayed at Biyukukung Resort in Ubud for a week http://www.biyukukung.net/index.php - a small resort overlooking rice fields, very calm and quiet, but still close to the center of Ubud (walking distance). Good price (I think one of the cheapest ones in Ubud in this category), nice rooms, nice pool, good small spa.

I used my credit card several times for long-distance travel, never had a serious problem. One time I had a double booking from one resort in Malaysia but I protested against it and the CC company immediately canceled the second booking.

THANKS GABYNE,, I get one step closer every day and lovin it!!! thanks agan...

Ya thanks Mike, there are a lot of places, and still looking , have a great day,rick..

NO

as far as I know, the safest way. BUT....we were offred a discount to do a wire transfer due to the card vendor charges. (Tulamben, Scuba Seraya)

never a problem for me.....especially if you have a card with good conflict resolution (Am X, Citibank, USAA)

not Capital One, for me. They did have charges from a Mexican escort service and put me through the ringer clearing that up.

Interesting. I like Capital One because of the free currency conversion. Maybe I'll use my Amex card for dodgier transactions that are more likely to be disputed. You know, Mexican escort services and the like.

My last dive trip out of Bali (Kararu Safari) required a wire transfer; they would not accept a credit card.

the free currency conversion.

Nordstrom's card baby.

maybe I just had a meanie case adjuster. she hated my guts, man.
