La Tour-de-Peilz (VD): Plongeur introuvable malgré de longues recherches dans le Léman
Un trio de plongeurs a voulu visiter l’épave d’un bateau samedi au large de La Tour-de-Pleiz. Deux d’entre eux ont pu remonter à la surface. Le troisième, un Suisse de 48 ans, a disparu.

Diver not found despite long searches in Lake Geneva
“I saw two divers come to the surface. I heard a diver was missing. The research is being carried out by the lake brigade.” A reader-reporter informed 20 minutes that a diving accident took place on Saturday morning off La Tour-de-Peilz (VD).
The Vaud cantonal police confirm the facts. “Three divers were visiting the wreck of the Hirondelle boat . One of them, a 48-year-old Swiss, domiciled in Valais, did not come to the surface,” said Florence Frei, spokesperson for the picket.
According to the two members of the group, the last contact with the missing person took place when he was more than 50 meters deep.

The alert was given around 10:45 a.m. “Upon their arrival on the scene and with the support of the Lake Geneva rescuers, the divers from the Lake Brigade carried out research. Despite the underwater technical and electronic resources used, the missing person has not yet been located,” the police reported. According to a reader-reporter, the search was still in progress on Saturday at 6 p.m. A criminal investigation was opened in order to establish precisely the circumstances of the accident. The rescue was carried out by the Lake Brigade, rescue companies from Vevey, Clarens and La Tour-de-Peilz, as well as Police Riviera.
