Updated | Diver dies after attempts to save his life fail - MaltaToday.com.mt
A man who helped a diver who found himself in difficulty required medical assistance due to respiratory problems.

MaltaToday is informed that a 30-year-old foreign diver found himself in difficulty in Sliema. A man who came to the rescue required medical assistance.

Members of the AFM’s maritime squadron joined in the rescue, taking the diver to Haywharf where an ambulance was waiting. CPR was carried out onboard the sea vessel. Despite attempts to save the foreigner's life, he was confirmed dead at Mater Dei Hospital.

A second ambulance was called to Tigne to assist the diver’s rescuer.
