The mule was brought up on charges for cruelty to animals, and killing an endangered species. When asked for a statement the mule said, "That was a MOUNTAIN LION!?! I thought it was Barney! I'm color blind you know!"

I was trying to keep it clean, but your statement is much better!

So I don't need dogs around here? I need a watch MULE. Where can I get one in Belize? Mountain lions (cougars) have eaten five dogs here on the farm in the last two years.

I'm sending this to my BIL who lives in Canmore AB (Cdn Rockies). Up there pets left unattended in backyards have a nickname: LUNCH.

Yeesh!

I've seen this before and snopes has an undetermined on it.

I do know mules are used for heard protection from coyotes, and in the city I work for, periodically a coyote will snag a dog on a leash in front of its owner.

We call that one, supper on a string.
