I somehow find this both terrifying and appropriate all at the same time. :11:

On another note, what level of conservatism do you build into the rule of 130 (assuming 32%) when diving more then 2 dives a day if any.

This thread isn't DIR and therefore should be assimilated. :D

Yes, I heard about this last night. Truly disturbing. Incidentally, since this thread is not DIR...

I updated it to keep trigger happy Jeff from closing it

To make it more conservative I use the rule of 120! Although are you saying 130 on 32%, or 130 with an 80% advantage with 32%, if you know what I'm saying.

IE 100ft on 32% = NDL of 40mins, The 32% makes the EAD 80ft, and thus the 40mins. Would you be doing 100ft for 30 mins on 32%?

I just apply 80% to the 120 rule. Easy math. Have never applied it to multi-day, four dives a day resort diving, though.

That is what I do. On a liveaboard last year I did 4-5 dives a day for 5 days. I used the above advice, with a min 1.5 hour surface interval between dives and doubled the time on the shallow stops (so 2 mins at 30-20-10) and it worked great for me. Of course YMMV, pay attention to how you feel, etc etc.

Good to know. We tend to double the shallow stops now, so that and the 90 minute SI seem like a good rule. As you suggest, always listen to your body.

Ok guys we have gotten away from bashing JeffG here! Lets stay on topic!
