Question OMD10 focus won’t lock in when in Nauticam housing

The last couple of times I attempted to use my OMD10 camera in its Nauticam housing I found the focus continually ‘hunts’ back and forth and will not lock in, resulting in blurry photos. Above water the focus ’snaps‘ into place quickly as expected, even with the camera still inside the housing, this focusing issue only occurs when underwater. I haven’t been able to find any explanation on-line. I have used the camera/housing successfully for several years without issue, this just started occurring recently. Above water the focus works great. My thoughts are that I have inadvertently changed some setting but haven’t figured out which one it might be…. Any thoughts?

I still have to get into the water and check it out which might be another week (its cold up here in Michigan!)

Can you test it in a sink or bathtub? All you need is the port in the water and a target to focus on.

It's a bummer to discover it isn't fixed on a dive instead of at home.

Got the updated settings put in and found that even sitting on the couch the focus still wouldn’t lock in on at near distances. Objects further away seemed to have better luck but if the zoom was used then it wouldn’t work at all.
I wanted to try manual focus which got me looking at the Nauticam zoom ’gear’ that goes around the lens. I saw that it was pushed back close to the camera body. It was apparently contacting the focus ring on the lens which would not allow it to move. I moved the zoom gear out away from the focus ring and now the autofocus is working again. I still need to try it out underwater but this appears to have been the root problem.
