Hi Folks,

I went out with Olympus this past weekend, Saturday was pretty rough with swells at 6 feet out at Indra (a couple of seasoned divers puked including myself - but hey). Vis and temp weren't bad at 30-50 feet and 62 degrees, be sure to bring your hood or beenie and gloves. Surge wasn't "strong" but not low either.

Personally I have always been a hood-type guy because the beenies looked a little wimpy and I was worried about my neck/jaw exposure, but I bought one this weekend to give it a try and I'm hooked. Just about everyone that was diving a 3mm wished they had brought a 5 mill.

1st dive on Sunday was on the u-352, with a wierd cold, warm, cold thermoclines, 62 at depth. Vis was about 30-35 feet.

2nd dive on Sunday was on the Aeolus. Still about 65 degrees F but vis dropped to about 20 feet. Current on the Aeolus was pretty strong, more than a few divers got blown off at the surface before being able to drop down the anchor line.

Overall, Bobby and the Midnight Express crew did a great job and we thank them for a fun weekend.

I was also down there Sunday, but was on the Olympus. First dive was the Papoose 60' viz and 70 degrees at depth. Sandtigers were on the wreck and we saw a Lionfish near the bow. We were going to stay on the Papoose for the second dive, but there were two divers from Canada that had never done the sub so we moved. It had around 30' of viz and was 68 degrees on the bottom. Funny how the conditons can change so quick.
