Storing tanks is a fire issue more than anything else. Aluminum tanks should be stored at low PSI 200-300 because the heat of a fire will weaken the aluminum before the pressure build up from the heat can reach the burst disc pressure and the tank could rupture. Steel can be stored full because the heat will cause the pressure to rise and the burst disc will blow before the steel will be weakened by the heat.
Other than that a tank stored with clean dry air and not made of alloy 5361 will not suffer damage unless it is in a fire.
