I'm a Fish!
Hello all I have a question on older BC care.
My BC is over 12 years now with a few dives on her and is starting to look her age, like fadeing and getting stiff in places. has anyone come across a way of protecting old but still alot of life left in the BC?

the bladder is still in great shape
the zipper's are working good
I did have to replace one tank strap
the nylon is looking a bit poor and worn but in good working order

I am looking into retireing this BC but it's like and old horse you just don't want to put to pasture yet!

...well, the Russian have kept Lenin immersed in formaldehyde for like the last centrry or so and he stills looks pretty good......just a thought......

Keep it out of the sun when possible, rinse it well, give the inflate and deflate valves a little TLC from time to time and keep it from hot places....don't store it in an attic. Otherwise, dive it and show it off proudly, it has earned it's battle scars. :) Oh, and at 12 it's still a youngster, I have a 26+yo BC ready to dive any day.

Thanks to all!
