I Just Tried A Pinnicle 7mm Full Suit With The New Stretch Type Material Yesterday And Liked It. Much Easier To Put On And A Better Build Suit Than The Compairable Henderson. Same Price As The Henderson And Has Zippers On The Ankles.

Do you know what model it was? Attached hood?
Thanks.

The stretch type suits are much easier to put on, particularly when wet and move with you well. Additionally, as they are so form fitting, they are a little warmer.

I use 3MM and 5MM fullsuits, for warmer water, and a 7MM two piece.

The wife likes the fit so well she'd like to wear it everyday. Without diving, that is.

Ah yes, the best part; if you get nothing else, get a stretch type hood. Makes all the difference between tearing your hair out to put the hood on. It just slips on and stays snug.

I would second the Xcel chest zip with the built in hood. The neck dam keeps water from flushing in and out. It uses stretchy material and you avoid all of the marketing hype you get with some of the other companies that talk about their special "core" etc.

I just bought a Scubapro 7mm with "everflex" it has no zippers at wrist or ankle and is very easy to put on, zipper in the back can let in water but the stretch eliminates sag and pockets where water can flow, I just love it and the mobility is incredible, to me it almost feels like a surfsuit, but if you wait too long before getting in the water, you will know its for diving.....imagine that.

NO, SORRY I'M TAKING THE SUIT OVER TO PINICAL HEADQUARTERS IN LIVERMORE SOMETIME AFTER THE 2ND OF FEB. SOME ALTERATION WORK, SHORTING OF CUFFS AND LEGS. THE SUIT DID NOT COME WITH A HOOD AND UNLIKE THE HENDERSON MODLE OF SIMILAR STYLE THE PINICAL HAD 7MM ARMS RATHER THAN 5MM ON THE HENDERSON. I THINK PINICAL ONLY MAKES ONE LINE OF THE SUPER STREATCH SUITS. ONLY DIFFERING IN THICKNESS???? SLAMMER

I'm going to have a fullsuit made next month when I go back to Thailand, with the hope I can dive at Monterey. Is a 7mm full warm enough or would a farmer john/jacket combination be better?

So far I've heard really good things on this company. Can't seem to find an online supplier though....

Anybody got an idea on price range?

Thanks everybody. You've all been very helpful.

<<fullsuit enough>>

Since we're wearing basically 14 MM at the middle, in our two piece suits and it can still get chilly by dive end, I'd question the fullsuit.

It's really up to your tolerance.

One of the biggest things is getting good gloves which keep the water in well. Your hands are the freezing point.

IMHO

Shasta-
Thanks for the concern. Fortunately I'm one of those wierdos that can tolerate a 45 min dive in 52 degree water with a 7mil suit, sport gloves and a hood.

I'd even say that (personally) keeping my head warm is more condusive to an overall warmer core temperarure.

How does the saying go? "If you're hands are cold, put on a hat."

I'm really starting to like the Xcel line of suits. My only issue would be being able to fit a skin under one of them.

I've dove until now without a skin but I think I may want to try one, if not for the ease of donning/doffing alone.

Does anybody know from experience if they are "superstretchy" enough to wear with a skin comfortably?

Thanks again everyone; you've all been a great help.
