I couldn't own a road rocket , I end up dead in 6 months , TOOOOO much power in them

Tell me about it. I bury the speedo on my Street Glide when I ride her, if I had a crotch rocket I'd have to see how fast it would go. It's weird. I drive cars like a grandma but I ride bikes like I stole 'em. It's the adrenaline rush. It has to be.

I would agree ......lets face it we as divers are type A personalities

2017 Fatboy “S” and a 2018 BMW r1200GS/A. Prefer to ride the BWM even with the knobbies on the street.

That’s what tracks are for! While I try not to ride the Aprilia on the street, it’s just too intoxicating not too! I do have a much slower ride that keeps me sane though....it’s the best all around bike I’ve ever owned.

Sweet bike @flyboy08!
When looking for a replacement for a gs1200 bandit I was not happy with, I spent too much time drooling over the second gen. Hayabusa that had just been released...
The wife went ahead and got it for me for Xmas. She likes to come with as a passenger so a true hyperbike was impractical. Love my Busa!
The track we did have closed decades ago before I was financially able to race.
So the wife and I finally make it down to Oklahoma to see friends last spring when my buddy takes me and his 2 top tier shifter karts to the local track. While i did manage to keep it on the track and not stall, I did scare myself repeatedly and spun out a few times.
This was my first time on a real racetrack and I was physically and mentally beaten.
Since then I have joined the local club, bought 2 Rotax Max karts and a 85cc shifter to train on. HOOKED!
I'm still shocked at how physically and mentally intense 10 minutes on track can be. If I can shave off another 5 seconds I might be able to run a race without getting lapped. Meanwhile I'm having a blast learning how.
Cheers!

Even a GS isn’t guaranteed no tickets....lol. Here’s me talking my way out of a ticket in Bosnia!

I mostly just ride track nowadays... either track days or racing. Riding on the street around central Ohio is just too boring for the amount of risk involved.

Bikes:
Triumph Speed Triple - Street/Track
Yamaha R6 - Track bike
Honda XR100 - Mini racing
Honda RS125 w/ KX60cc - Mini racing

Excited to race this new (to me) 2 smoker on the kart tracks this year!

Another trackday rider here. My wife and I are also race marshals. I started race work in 2009 at Laguna Seca MotoGP and have every motorcycle race there since, MotoGP, AMA, WSBK, Motomerica. Also we have been race marshals for AFM. Last year we started working cars and got to work IndyCar at Sonoma Raceway. We love Motorcycles and all things racing. Some of our best weekend have been going and watching races at Laguna seca then hitting Monterey for some diving.

I ride a 2011 ZX10r, well I did, I will again when I get it back together. I over shot my braking marker turn 1 at T-hill. Went down at over 100 and walked away with a couple broken ribs and a busted toe. I'd pretty lucky. The bike wasn't TOOO bad ether LOL. My Wife has a 2003 CBR600RR track bike and she is getting pretty quick. Last year she was able to step up to B-group.

For me the crossover for Bikes and Scuba is the technicality of it. The perfection of it. If I slack on precheck or break concentration it can go bad in a heartbeat. I like the challenge and learning it takes to be good at both...... Guess you could say this is a theme in my life.

I will upload some pics when I get to my computer.
