I see every manifold in 7/8 din (ok only thermo has it) is air service only. Why or what stops this from being serviced with nitrox? They don't make a pro valve in 7/8 AFAIK. Otherwise what other 7/8 options are there ?

My question has changed from the dgx manifold in a previous thread because I scored some pst 120's for totally freeeeeee.

So about bands. Is there any bands that allow the doubles to be closer than standard ?

It has to do with the higher possible working pressure. The same with the 300 bar valves are air only whereas the 200 bar valves are NITROX compatible due to a lower working pressure. There is nothing from stopping you from O2 cleaning it and using it for NITROX.

The 7/8 UNF valves are meant for cylinders with a working pressure of 3500psi or higher. As such, they were designated as 300 bar valves for the regulator (i.e. the valves are all the same strength wise with reg being the limiting factor).

If the PST cylinders take 7/8" valves you will need to start looking on the secondary market for a manifold. They are getting harder and harder to find. XS Scuba does make std. 7/8" valve.

A good article: Dive Gear Express Valves

Well they do take 7/8 valves.

Thermo might have my money after all. No biggie just looking for options.
