OK so let me get this straight.

I have a really old tech, size large yet in great shape. I am 6 foot tall, I have a long torso with short little legs. When I don my tech if I put the waist straps at my waist my first set of D rings are on the tops of my shoulders. If I get a xl shoulder section will it put the rings down lower? My current rings are nonadjustable, plus my inflate hose winds up just a few inches over my shoulder. I know I can get a longer hose but is the XL shoulder section what I need?

Hey I resemble that remark!

If you swap to XL shoulders on your bc the neck gap will be wider, and the buckles will be farther down on your chest.
You might have an issue with the shoulder straps feeling a little wider on you.
