Would it be possible to get a sticky started about what dive ops are running and what places are closed? Does this sound like a good idea?

PM Tom Smedley, he is a mod and can sticky the thread.

In Panama City;
Panama City Dive Charters
Better Bottom Time
Dive Locker

are all runnning. I am also having water samples from the thermocline analyzed to confirm the water is safe. No one (gov or otherwise) seems to be doing this. There had been some concern as several charters encountered oil (a sub-surface plume) in the thermocline. It was generally understood that anything sub-surface was likely to have dispersants in it which is why we and every other dive charter operator voluntarily shut down (with a single exception). Now all of us who shut down are back up except for WreckRaider and Panama City Dive Center who are both working for BP as far as I know.

I belive that as of today almost every dive charter is now operating again. (I know of one that may not be)

Well this sounded like a good idea to start with. Glad everything is running and almost back to normal.

Since the oil is no longer impacting the gulf, can we go ahead and have a MOD un-sticky this thread?
