Going to be in Ohio for a couple weeks in March, taking care of some legal biz. Columbus, Dublin area.

Any muck areas open for diving that early in the season?

You might want to put a post on the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew Forum, that is where most of the Ohio crew hang out on here.

Gilboa is about 1.5 hours north of Columbus, and yest it is open on weekends, but you might give a call.

Blue Springs is open 7 days a week year round, but it is in Eastern Indidana. Probably about 2 hours from Columbus.

Circleville is just south of Columbus. Depending on when in March and how this winter goes it may be iced over at that time. Location has 2 quarries 'bout 20-25 ffw. The shop is on restricted hours over the winter but they'll open the gate open for you if you call - drop-box for waiver and fees in gear-up area. For info http://www.twinquarries.com

Gilboa is also a good place to go, shallow side to about 60-70 ffw, deep side to near 150 ffw. Believe they're only open weekends at that time. http://www.divegilboa.com

If you are talking late March, there is a Tuesday evening club that meets at Circleville and may be starting up by that time.
