Under any energy plan authored by Democrats or Republicans Gulf oil will be required for our needs for decades. Any believers in expanding our nuclear generation capacity like Europe figured out long ago? Windmills alone will not suffice for the energy of an industrial country with 300M people. Get real!

Relying on one source of energy, renewable or petroleum, is foolish. It's rediculous NOT to be developing clean fuels and energy to transition to. The US should be the energy source of the next century. The developing world (India and China) is going to have a very large appetite.
