Dang-nab-it...That means the flow is going to go back up (sigh).

Of course , dem 'breather dives have all day down there , so they don't care what the flow is. ( eek )

Actually , that's GREAT NEWS !!!
Even for us Old , er , aged , er , something cavahs.

P.S. I'll try and bring some firewood , but since my car is used for hauling gear , well , you know. (DOUBLE EEK)
Maybe I can make multiple trips.

Thanks!
Beano Baggins

Roxanne and I will bring
For the Saturday community dinner
36 count package of hot dogs and buns and another meat dish which Roxanne will pickup.
baked beans

18 count eggs
bacon, sausage, cheese and mushrooms for breaky

we should arrive around 6pm on Friday

so a baby goat would give double points?

sweet!

btw, the only tying going on around me is those who insist on wrapping my tent with cave line EVERY FRAGGING MORNING

i mean, it was funny the first 12 times

I promise not to tie/wrap your tent in line,
I seem to have brand new line on my reels,
after the last MegaDive event. :cool2:

Besides Andy, you know nobody is really giving you digs,
Unless the line is wound up into a birds nest knot fron hell.

Sounds like a New z-Knife would , er , uh .... Nevermind :D

P.S. No NOMAD this spring so the NO HANGING sign is out !!! (EEK)

Just got out of the water at Ginnie. Water is still dropping. First bit of flow is back, and building as I type. The skeeters were out tonight, but not horribly bad. It is still high 50's low 60's, so they are not that bad.

The front of the cave is still pretty green, but with the flow increasing, I think it will get better quickly. On a side note, Jill Heinerth told me today that Manatee reversed last night for the first time. That is crazy flooding!

Other relevant misc notes:

Food- Friday night, on your own. We usually do a light snack and somebody will have a grill going that you can throw stuff on.

Brekky is omlettes, MegaDive style.

Saturday afternoon is the big picnic lunch

Dinner is leftovers after the galaxy dive along with s'mores and whatever else is available around the campfire. (I assume this is where the rum comes into play...)

Sunday Brekky is omlettes, MegaDive style.
Break down, say good byes :( and start making plans for the fall MegaDive.

What to bring:
Tent and all the paraphania.. air mattress, sleeping bag, pillows etc.
Chair for sitting round the campfire.
All the dive gear you can stash in your car.

And food - It is easier to bring a quantity of a couple things than trying to bring something for every meal. Bring something to share for Sat lunch and both breakfasts.

Lunch usually consists of chicken, burgers, brats, chips, cakes, drinks...

Brekky is:
Eggs, bacon, sausage, peppers, onions, fungus, and anything else you can think of putting on an omlette. Also juice, sweet confections, coffee.

Additional items that may be needed/brought/used: FIREWOOD, drinking water, Firewood, song lyrics, musical instruments, innertubes, kayak, etc...Oh, and firewood!

Am I assuming correctly you have the supplies for the galaxy dive? You do such an awesome job every year, I am assumign you are the defacto person in charge!:D

Quick question.......

Is there power at the Pavillion...? Campsites...?
Mostly thinking about charger for my light.... but other items would be nice w/o pulling out the power inverter...

-Tim

bring a power strip, I'm bringing one and an extension cord with a three outlet end deal.

yes, there is power at the pavilion.

Turkey Roost is looking great. The sun is drying it up. The forecast for this weekend is perfect!!

Cave divers - Ginnie is pretty green in the first 500' or so, and the smaller side tunnels are dusty in most places, but still very diveable. I will be around all day Friday & Saturday even though I am not camping.
