Had 3 dives Saturday and 2 dives today at Beal's Point. It was fantastic, lots of schools of trout from fry to fingerlings to adults. Schools of small mouth bass and several huge largemouth bass. I'm not a hunter, spearfishing is illegal anyways, so they are still there. Vis was 5'-20' feet, mostly 10'-15', avg depth 15 ffw.
The last person I expected showed up from work, so after a 2 month dry spell I finally got to dive. The fingerling small mouth bass are people friendly, or just naive. As soon as my buddy gets me a copy of his Go Pro, I can post a video or a few pictures

I've wanted to drive up to Folsom and do a dive there. In the future if your looking for someone to dive there with you let me know and you can show me around. I thought I might see where the bass are holding near shore and after I get out of the water grab my fishing pole and give it a go.

Let me know if you dive there again, I am over in Roseville and would like to join you.

I just might go this Friday or Saturday morning, hopefully the lake level won't drop too much.
The max level is 466', and when I went it was 455'.
I'll post again on Thursday if the dive is for sure.
Also, I made a fish ID error; The trout were actually spotted bass, and the "schools of smallmouth bass" were Bluegill.

Here is one of the largemouth bass, that tend to be elusive and only cruise through once.

Spotted Bass and a very curious Bluegill (he would approach and peck the camera)
