Who is posting it? Maybe the users who are posting the weird characters have a different chr-set for their default?? Like they're NOT in the U.S. ??

I see this.
Hello,
IÃÎ a new diver blessed with 3 weeks (Nov 29 Dec 20th) to go anywhere I want before meeting up with a group in Makassar to dive in Raja Ampat. The plan was to stay in Indonesia but the weather worries me. If IÃÎ going to spend the money I want the diving to be great. Thus, IÃÎ looking into either Thailand or the Philippines.

The user who posted this has his location as "Jakarta, Indonesia"

So this would follow with my theory that it's the char-set of the user who posted the post.

Basically, what you're seeing is improperly handled multi-byte characters. You see this sort of thing when mixing something like UTF-8 with software expecting straight ASCII, and so on.

Yeah what he said. Or, in my terms I will paraphrase....

In this thread

this is what I see

In addition to the scheduled arrival or departure times, information can be displayed such as «àeparted? «àelayed? «áoarding? etc.

I suppose if these are all issues with people from other areas and their keyboard "format", why did this just start happening recently? I have not changed browsers or anything so I am curious.

And just as an FYI, the visible characters that displayed in my previous post changed when I copied them into this thread so they present themselves differently.
