Hehe... so might I be the first to ask if anyone would like to buy a pair of Ginnie dive vouchers from a Baton Rouge, LA, diver who probably lives just slightly farther away than you? :D

But then again, you could always use them as a "Welcome Home" present for your significant buddy, no?

I am sort of in the same boat as you on this one.

I wonder how long the vouchers are good for?

Ohman....so, $27 to dive for the day. Assuming 5 air fills at $6 each, $30 for air. If I camp both nights, $32 for camping. I'm looking at an easy $100. argh.

I think I might show up early saturday morning (8:01 am) and I'll leave late Saturday night. I'd really like to camp and make a weekend out of it, but I really cannot afford it. How late on Saturday can I leave without missing anything and without having to pay any more for anything :) (I know if you show up before 8, then you pay for the previous age camping, how late can you stay before you have to pay more?)

scubafool:
Hey, I got #500!

I am getting very close to the big 1000....
(about 15 short...)

Da Bean

P.S. And NO , I am not counting my baths as dives...

Actually, jeandiver, as I believe he was talking about post number in this thread, you're about 494 short. :D

Oh, and scubafool, if they're good for at least several years, that would be a fine idea, but as I don't know when J.'ll be returning to the States (nor does she for that matter), I figured I could just pay to dive when the time comes.

SFLDiver:
All logging activity aside, I've been casually writing the software that I use
to maintain my dive log database along with all the photos:
http://home.fau.edu/barton/web/divelog/index.html

Feel free to get lost in it, but being on a massive University server,
it has severe bandwidth limitations, ie. they're stingy.

Entries albeit short ones, along with photos of last Spring's megadive ...

Considering I started converting my dive logbook to a database in 2001,
wrote the first version in Java (Bleech!Ptooey!Hack!)
and am currently converting it into .Net C# yadda yadda yadda,
needless to say the hamburger log has gotten backed up.

Maybe some prune juice would kick it along ...

SFLDiver, I was just looking at the pics on your online log........ This is a great pic looking outta the ball room!!

Speaking of logged dives, about how many dives does everyone have now?

I hope I dont get out there and look like a rookie with poor bouyance control and overweighted......

Im at about 24 +/- dives so far in my "career"

by the way, so if we do the clean up dive on saturday, will we be able to use the free vouchers for diving on sunday?

hm..... im offa work monday maybe make it a 3 days of camping and diving trip?!?!?!?!?!:D :D :D :D
