octo-inflator intercompatibility

Hi all - Just certified this November in San Diego and have done four boat dives since then. I have a SeaQuest Balance BCD. Can I use a Sherwood Gemini Oct-inflator cominbation on this vest? or must I use the Air 2.

Why does scubadiving.com bother with testing these octo/inflators if the brands are not interchangeable with other brands' BCD's. Nothing about intercompatibility was mentioned in the review article. (Can't post the URL since I'm a newbie.)

Sorry if thats a dumb question, trying to learn about gear and things.

It depends on the inflator hose diameter and/or whether there is an adaptor to fit the Gemini to the hose if needed. Generally they are interchangeable.
