I also heard that Scubatoys bought the inventory. I heard some other things too.

Nope... Not me. I didn't buy their inventory. I did aquire the best asset of the store however... Kip... He's been helping us move into the new location.

Ocean Windows was purchased by Blue Dolphin Scuba of Frisco, along with the inventory. We stopped by last week Wednesday and the door was open so we walked in and had a great talk with the new owners. They are a bunch of really nice people.

Did they buy the one in San Antonio aswell ?

It's too bad about the San Antonio closing of Ocean's Window. That's where my wife and I got certified. Our instructor and many of the store personnel were really good people. And, IMHO, the San Antonio dive market is now underserved.

As posted by others, so far no one has taken on the San Antonio Ocean's Window location and the inventory is still under lock and key.

Suzi Wilkins, the most recent shop manager and LONG time employee of the San Antonio shop (like back when it was Tropical Divers before OW) is suggesting the "Deep Blue Adventures" shop.

Deep Blue Adventures is in Alamo Heights and has a remarkably complete inventory considering the relatively small shop size. Trey the owner has gone out of his way to accomodate the "shopless" Ocean's Window customers even to the extent of honoring the OW Dive Club coupon books.

You can find more info about Deep Blue Adventures at this URL

Several of the old OW shop employees are now working at Deep Blue Adventures ... it's worth a trip to see how you like the shop.

Bade Millsap (not an employee of OW or Deep Blue) :crafty:

I heard about Deep Blue through Bade and went by there last Sunday and even though it's a small shop they pretty much have everything you need. I was surprised to see Steve from Oceans Window over there, both Steve and Trey are very helpful and I hope they are able to move into the Oceans Window building. I too recomend people to stop by and check them out.
