Trying to rebuild Omega 2 Trying to remove control valve screw. According to manual it takes a 1/4 in socket. Not happening, too big. Tried 7 mm, hits flats but not enough to remove valve. Any suggestions?

When you say the 1/4" socket is too big, do you mean it is too big for the actual hex on the screw?

I remember that the hex on this screw is situated very low on the screw and required a very deep walled socket to reach at all. Unfortunately I can't remember what size it is, but for what it's worth, all manuals I have mention a 1/4" socket, but also specify a deep walled one.

Deep wall 1/4" is correct for Omega 2, this is what I use.
