Wife and I have nothing to compare our D4 with DVT to except ScubaPro rentals we've used prior to getting our own gear. We love our D4s. They breathe very easy down to 100', probably deeper, but that's as deep as we've gone. They've performed great in 50 degree and 84 degree water, plus everything in between.
My wife had mouth comfort troubles with the rentals. Actually wore a raw spot on her gum. No problems at all with the D4. We both love the fit.
Bubble interference? If vertical, you'll get bubbles in your face. If horizontal, you won't.
We went with the D4 because we heard nothing but good things about Oceanic's customer support, plus we dive year round and it performs great in cold water.
We're sold......obviously.
Hah, cold water
My wife and I also have Delta 4's
We have over 200 dives on them easy, everything from the warm tropics to under the ice. Never once had any issues with them. We use them for deep cold water dives in the great lakes to 130 feet and water in the 30's. We also use them cleaning boats and setting docks, very well preforming reg.
The question is...Are the Delta's too much Reg. for tropical diving?????
No.... you'll see people diving the tropics with this reg and many others that are in the "higher class of regs".
You've been debating this purchase for a while (from the other posts you've had on it.). I don't think you'd be happy if you got a "wimpy reg" after all this research.
just go ahead and 'pull the trigger' and buy it. I'm betting that 99% of the people here would say you would be completely happy with this reg.
