I am currently looking at buying a new regulator, i am looking at the Delta 4 with the FDX10 first stage. i was just wondering if anyone has used it or maybe even owns one could give me some feedback on it. Thanks

I own 2. They have worked flawlessly down past 120' in cold fresh water. They are serviced worldwide and there are dealers in just about every dive location. It's an easy breather that will never let you down. If you are a technical diver it takes an extra part to put on a standard 7' hose. There are many regs out there that will serve you well. This reg I have tested at depth and found it to deliver as much air as you could want. I will be using mine this weekend in 40 degree water at 130'.

The only drawbacks I have heard of are:
The plastic cap on the first stage could possibly break and you would lose your enviro kit but the reg would still function without it.
There have been complaints of harmonics with the DVT but it does not cause functionality issues. I've had none.

I plan to use mine for trimix when I take that class.

I am torn between this oceanic and the atomic?

Both make very good regs from what I have heard... I have not used an atomic.. When I was doing my OW one of the DM's let me check his out as I was telling him I hated the reg I was using .. didn't feel comfertable with it.. and I fell in luv with it then. Couldn't tell you the reg I was using..but I am sure it was a fairly cheap one... just didn't feel like I could breath with it.. The Delta 4 cured that..

Been diving a Delta 4 for over a year now. Great, easy breather, even upside down. I can dial it up to positive pressure at any depth, so the adjustability is great. The DVT has saved me twice when I rinsed before putting on the dustcap.

I own the Delta 4, and a Dive Rite reg... and I have tried out the Atomic, Scubapro, and Apeks regs as well... But the Delta 4 is my top favorite reg out of all of them. I love the way it breathes, and it's a great peformer. It is probably one of the most overlooked regs out there today. You can't go wrong with this reg.

For less money, you may want to consider that you can still get the Oceanic Delta 3 TDX5 Titanium Regulator from ScubaToys while the supply lasts.

Suggested retail for this regulator was something like $1,250.00 when it was new, now for $399.00 it is very hard to justify spending more for the Delta 4... Mine has preformed flawlessly the past year that I've owned it including several dives below 100 feet...
