Oceanic computer recommendations: VT4.1, Atom 3.1, or Geo 2.0?

Hey everyone,
I am currently in the market to purchase a new dive computer and have decided to go with an oceanic. A lot of people recommend the Geo 2.0 as a great computer without the capability of a wireless transmitter. I'm not sure if I should go with the Vt4.1 or atom 3.1 so I have the option to purchase a wireless transmitter in the future. I just wanted some knowledge from some divers that are more experienced then myself. I don't have an unlimited budget so that is why the Geo 2 is appealing to me but can stretch it to purchase the vt4.1 or the atom 3.1. Thank you for the input.

I am a newbie so I can't give any advice on any of those computers, but... I did just order a Oceanic VT4.1 w/transmitter for $699 at Leisurpro (Oceanic VT 4.1 Wrist Computer & Transmitter with PC Download 04.8030.16). Too good of a deal to pass up.

I just bought my wife the atom 3.1. After I bought her the atom I went and bought a Sherwood amphos. I had a Sherwood amphos before, replaced it with A300CS OLED, and I am back to Sherwood. Moving to Florida and need a different screen.

I've seen this deal and it's one of the reasons I'm considering the VT 4.1. I like the watch style better(atom, geo) but this deal may be to good to pass up.

Has your wife used the atom yet?

She used it once but had ear trouble and didn't stay down long. When she was looking she hard a time deciding if she wanted suunto or oceanic. Being able to change the battery ourselves sealed the deal.

if you are having a hard time deciding, take the on-line classes through dive computer training for computers you are interested in. They do a good job walking you through computer use. Cost is minimal

No advice between the three but if you decide in favor of the Geo this is the cheapest I've seen recently. That price is only available on the titanium and blue color option though.

I ordered the Geo 2.0 for $299.99. That's the cheapest I've seen it and it sealed the deal. Thank you for contributing to my post. I'll update after I get to use it on a few dives.
