The labman at my gas store tells me that no addition steps are taken to bottle aviators O2, its just that it is tested to make sure that the dryness meets aviator's standards while all the other stuff is just as dry but just not tested for it. Not really apropos to anything, but interesting.

Someone asked the cost difference between the two grades of helium (btw, your mailbox was full so I am posting it here).

I am paying $65 for UHP. I think welding goes for around $30. You are correct about the helium gas source, but since I heard from a friend who knows the business and told me about bottle switching, I stay away from welding grade. It is not an issue if you have your own bulk botles.
