Its a very common site in Western Australia, especially down south at some of the more remote spots.
It can be a little spooky when they first show up. You just never know what the "shadows" are, you tend to sit with your feet up on the board until your sure
Same thing happens when your diving, the "locals" kind of sneak up on you, you turn around and there they are!. Im sure I have seen a smirk on the face of a dolphin once or twice.
