My sister is living in Honolulu until December/January for her husband's job. I will be visiting in September (somewhere around the 16-23).
I want to go diving- so if any of you are willing to do one, some, ANY shore dives with a slightly quirky, dive junkie, Ohioan... I'd LOVE to meet you! I would love to dive with someone familiar with the sites- and if y'all are ever in Ohio, I can tour you around Gilboa Quarry- you won't go home the same person after that, let me tell ya!
Still, my sister probably needs to do a refresher. I want to go out on a boat with her but I don't think she's gone diving in about 2 years... My husband and I had a really, really, really, grotesquely bad experience with Reef Trekkers in 2002 before I ever got certified and I will not use them. Period. My husband will not even have a discussion about even thinking about diving as a result... he won't talk about snorkeling, either. It was that bad.
But I wondered if anyone had suggestions for other/better/smaller outfits that would be good on a boat dive. Or two. Or 10 if I can afford it . And my sister if she needs a refresher (I haven't talked to her about it yet).
And if anyone is willing to buddy up with a perfect stanger on shore dives, I will buy you dinner! And I'm not talking McDonald's either (though that IS one of my favorite restaurants...).
