I was wondering what the laws were concerning O2 on boats. I believe that any commercial dive charter needs to have O2 on board in the US right? What about private boats being used for diving? Are these laws state or federal laws. I know in Ohio any the Council of Skin and Scuba Divers got legislation passed so that Divers trained in the DAN O2 course could get O2 bottles filled with medical grade O2, and at the time Ohio was the only state with such a law. How do the laws in other states apply now?

Massachusetts also regulates O2 as drug. A DAN O2 course covers the requirement in Massachusetts.
