I have been using an older Sherwood Oasis for my O2 deco reg. Recently our technician at the dive shop got another job and when I took it in this year, they refused to O2 clean it. They also claim that they called Sherwood and said they didn't recommend it. My tech/trimix instructor used the same reg for his O2 and I noticed other people as well. Has anyone had any issues getting them O2 cleaned and should I have not been using this in the past?

Sherwoods (like all regs) can be O2 cleaned.
....however....
They do not make for good deco/stage regs since they will flood the 1st stage if pressurized and then turned off.

Thanks for the input. I have never had an issue with the flooding in the past, but I will have to keep that in mind. I do have some other options so will look into those.
