So, the dive to bring the tree out will probebly be between 1:00 and 2:00 and the second dive to raise the tree out of the water is a night dive at 6:00? Is that about right?

Any advice on parking if the lot is full?

Yep. That's about right

There should be spot to park at lighthouse parking lot around 1. If full, wait a few min. Someone is always pulling out. (there to take pictures of light house)

If interested in diving, contact Gary to let him know you are coming.

I'll run it by my main buddy to see if he wants to do Nubble
instead of Cape Ann this weekend and I'll PM Gary if we're
attending.

Thanks again,

Colin

Perhaps, next year!

Lighting of Nubble canceled in the face of ‘unsafe’ weather

YORK - The traditional Lighting of the Nubble and its associated festivities were canceled on Saturday because of unsafe weather conditions.
Brenda Knapp, chairwoman of Nubble Light Acquisition Committee, said the Coast Guard reported that the point’s high winds and powerful waters were not safe for the anticipated crowds.
"I’m not disappointed that we made a decision to keep everyone safe," Knapp said.
Christmas lights are expected to shine on the Nubble sometime later this week, after conditions are cleared with the Coast Guard. But the usual cookies, hot chocolate and live entertainment will have to wait until next year.
"Basically, we figured it was too hard to reschedule it with the other events," Knapp said. "There are so many people involved."
Knapp said local hotels and bed and breakfasts were notified. She said many businesses were supportive.
"They said, ‘This is the first time it’s been canceled, and thanks for everything you do,’" Knapp said.

It was wild and wooly.

I arrived around noonish, took a look around and
decided I was not willing to risk life and limb for a tree.
