How big this fellow ?

Thanks Wisnu, my eyes are old too :)

About 1cm in length.

Bulakan had lots of them.

I was using Nikkor 105 with a +10 diopter at full macro focus and just moved the camera back and forth to get the focus right.

I did get several shots like this, but I want a higher wet diopter for my next trip.

The main challenge was dealing with the cold upwellings that just happen and move you off the subject. I probably spent a good 5+ mins on this one subject.

Some people try reversing a lens, too

So I heard but never tried it. However I would still like some flexibility to shoot with the 105 on its own.

Another somewhat rare find. Rostanga pulchra.
I've only found four of these guys in thirty years of diving. This was the largest, about 1/4"

I think I need one of these

Kraken +23 Macro Diopter - KRL-06S | Bluewater Photo & Video

Do any of you use one and if so how is the quality?
Try Moby Noodilab lens it's a *3,8 enlarging factor lens, means a 6mm critter will completely fill your DX frame.
Otherwise AOI UCL900 is also a remarkable lens with comparable sizing factor.
They're Malaysian (Moby) or HongKong (AOI) built lens, hence you can get them easily in Bali or Singapore.

btw the "Stiliger ornatus" shot may show in fact a costasiella sp. slug.
It has been widely labelled stiliger on the internet for such slug BUT the real stiliger ornatus has eyes behind or on the side of the rhinophores.
It is now believed that slugs with that "flat head" and a pair of eyes in between the rhinophores (alike the "shaun the sheep" costasiella kuroshimae) are in fact costasiella sp.

here's a link to the real stiliger ornatus :
Stiliger ornatus sacoglossan
