Dove Nubble yesterday to participate in lighting of Nubble UDNH Dive club tree dive.
Seas were completely calm, light winds from west.
Dive 1 - 42-44 degrees, max depth 55 degrees, 40 min. 25+ foot vis? Dove along the island and followed the mini rock wall. Still lots of bugs out there. Beautiful Northern Anenome (sp?) Swimming on surface towards entry point, was mind blowing seeing the entire contour of bottom. i can't wait to go back.
Dive 2 was night dive to raise the tree. Only 30 min dive. Was totally mind blowing seeing the flash pictures from the crowd from the bottom as we raised the tree to the surface. We started the dive going to the tree, breaking the light sticks and then swam around before the lighthouse was lit. Was a full moon and cool bioluminescence. (sp?) We really didn't need our lights for navigation as used the lit tree as point of reference. Also, being shallow with moonlight, you could really see without lights.
