Awww... I say... keep the widdle ducky!

He seems to like you all, and obviously wants to stay!

Of course, I'm a softie, and I'd much rather hurt a person's feelings than an animal's feelings! :) Cat.. you're dog and bunny are adorable, and little Afflec admires them so!

I found this in our local paper this morning. Apprarently, this situation is not unique to just Hawaii...

My mother always told me never to play with my food.

Another wildlife lady called me today to say that we "waited too long" and not to be surprised if it flys back to our house. Wow, I guess Mallards get very determined, like homing pigeons. Speaking of which, one has showed up at the pool and sits outside pining at the duck through the cage. Bird poop everywhere, I am not digging that.

Tomorrow, we try again, I have another location scoped out.

I stayed at a motel just outside of Hobart, Tasmania that has its own resident duck population, probably because it's right on the River Derwent.

The desk clerk says while they're a hit with the guests (although they did wake me up at 6 AM one morning :shakehead ) they have become too large in number. They tried to relocate them to a preserve further up the river, but they found their way back and had even more baby geese.
