My wife just finished her first 4 dives as part of a "resort course" to see if she wanted to get certified. She did two dives each day.
On both days the surfaced from the second dive with a minor nose bleed.
Nothing major, just a little blood in that nasty snot we all deal with when we come up.
I have never experienced this so I can't tell her if it's "normal".
She does want to take the full OW class but would like to feel comfortable about the nosebleeds.

Anybody else experience this often?

It's not really unusual to have a slight nosebleed. Usually this is a sign of a barotrauma resulting from a sinus squeeze. Slowing her ascent may allow any trapped air to release from the sinuses, and limit the frequency of nosebleeds.

If the amount of bleeding is minimal, and she is not experiencing pain then I would not be overly concerned. If bleeding is pronounced, or does not quickly stop, then I'd suggest she make an appointment with an ENT to evaluate her situation.
