From NWA's website:
Checked Luggage
For international travel between the United States and Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico), Northwest Airlines will accept checked luggage up to a maximum weight of 50 pounds (23kg) and a maximum total linear dimension (length plus width plus height) of 62 inches (158 cm).
They used to be 70 lbs.Has anyone tested them? Are they enforcing this? I'm going to Grand Cayman in a few days and just started packing. When you are used to packing the bags to 70 lbs, that loss of 20 lbs makes a big difference. I need some styrofoam peanuts to fill the gaps
My large pelican case weighs 27 lbs empty! They still allow 40 lbs in your carry on, go figure.
