Trying to accurately id this tank.

I know its a Norris - N inside diamond was their trademark stamp.
Predates DOT so ICC certifying agency/steel/2250psi service rating.
The second row is HN2385 - serial number I believe.
The 5G65+ mark could be interpreted as being 65cuft with + rating giving 71.5cuft at 2475 psi or the BOD/first hydro.
6/70 could be 2nd hydro...

No other marks other than hydros throughout its life.

Its 6.9"D X 29"H if I measure butt to top of neck and its the diameter/height that's throwing me off. Not a typical steel 72.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

the 65+ is definitely a hydro date. I have a couple of PST 72's from the mid 1970's that are 6.9" diameter, 25" tall so I would guess that you've got an 85 there.

EDIT - more evidence: if all else is the same, take 72 ft^3 * 29"/25" and you get about 85 ft^3
