I'll be diving in Cozumel for a week in December and will be flying out of Cancun. I've seen the major sites of ruins and would like to find something cultural or ecological. Does anyone have recommendations for something low key to do within a few hours of Cancun on my final day?

Thanks

Valladolid is only a couple hours by bus (state of Yucatan), and is a beautiful colonial town with a lot of interesting things to see and do. There's a nice big cenote in the center of town, a big mercado, good hotel options, the regional food is wonderful (especially the longanisa sausage that is a local signature item). It's also an easiy jog on the collective to Ek' Balam, which is pretty spectacular in a low-key not over commercialized way. Have a great trip!

Cheers,
Chris

If you haven't been over there: Take the ferry over to Isla Mujeres and then rent a golf cart to cruise around this pretty little island.
