(Don't make me explain why:D)

Know too much about lobster and shellfish to even eat them cooked (shrimp is an excellent source of organic arsenic though, so I still eat shrimp).

I wanna know why too! And there aint NOTHING you can tell me about lobster to make me give them up...

I was in Bali, Indonesia driving around with a guide when we drove by these huge field sized pits of black gungy slime water. They were close to the ocean inlet but filled with the most disgusting looking muck. Piles of burning garbage were strewn about on the "shore".

There were all these people walking in the water up to their waists stirring something under the water. We asked the guide what these people were doing...great answer...you guessed it...they were the shrimp farmers who grew the shrimp for all the hotels. We were staying at the Grand Hyatt and immediately swore off any "filter feeding" seafood while we were staying there.

amazing the turn this thread took - it managed to get back to diving...

No raw fish for me. People who try and make me eat raw fish usually can't stomach it themselves for a while after I explain why. (Don't make me explain why:D)
Definitely no raw seafood.
Raw invertebrates are work, not food.

On the other hand - pickled ginger. Mmmm. Keep a jar in the 'fridge for snacking.
Is bubble tea trendy down there right now? Silly but not bad.

Yea, yea, I know. And there are rat turds and spider legs in my spaghetti sauce. Some things, I'd just rather not think about. I have to eat SOMETHING, it might as well taste good.

Yep... So you may as well just suck it up...

And slurp down those raw fish innards!

Even though it's kind of a gross story...I still like shrimp and lobster. And I'm *still* a fan of sushi :)

I will ONLY eat shrimp any way it can be cooked. All others are pretty :yuck: !!!

Somehow I don't believe you that raw fish innards taste good. Tell ya what: you come to the Chicago dive party, I bring the innards... and you go first.
