Hey now! You need to be a little more adventurous!!

Actually... I really dislike fishy tasting sushi. I don't eat any of the raw fish with skin. Bleh. Disgusting. I also don't really like salty caviar or the big eggs (fishy too)...

But you're really missing out on the tobiko!!! Not slimy, but crunchy! Not salty but sweet and smooth like butter!!

The Unagi. (cooked, freshwater eel) is also one of my favorites! You should give it a try!!

I have tried raw sushi - I just plain don't like it. Maybe I'm squeamish, but... <gag>

I'll try any vegetable, fruit, or grain - but I draw the line at internal organs & raw fish. ick ick ick ick ick

Okay. So maybe I can't convince you to try the flying fish eggs, but thats still no excuse for trying the eel!!!!!!

...and it wasn't horrible. I just prefer to look at the reef, not eat off of it..

Hey... Its FRESHWATER eel. :D

But... Speaking of looking at the reef...

I'd rather eat raw fish innards than the food on Bonaire!

Or be forced to spend time above water on Bonaire...

OK, OK, you guys really hate Bonaire. I get your point.

Is unagi cooked eel? If so, I'll try it. Otherwise, fuggedaboudit. ick ick ick ick ick

BTW, did I say ICK?

The unagi I had, I think it was Unagi Don, was cooked...

Ya know, I kind of hate to eat my favorite salt water creatures... they have to be REALLY tasty for me to make them a regular part of my diet... so the eel could be a one-time treat.

I've sworn off groupers - too cute to eat... :)

Lobsters & shrimp, however, are doomed.

amazing the turn this thread took - it managed to get back to diving...

No raw fish for me. People who try and make me eat raw fish usually can't stomach it themselves for a while after I explain why. (Don't make me explain why:D)
Definitely no raw seafood.
Raw invertebrates are work, not food.
Know too much about lobster and shellfish to even eat them cooked (shrimp is an excellent source of organic arsenic though, so I still eat shrimp). Rather eat fish eggs when they are well aged - say after they've grown into decent-sized fish.
On the other hand - pickled ginger. Mmmm. Keep a jar in the 'fridge for snacking.
Is bubble tea trendy down there right now? Silly but not bad.

Now you know you have to explain why. If you didn't want to you shouldn't have teased us.
