I said 24 hours, but it has nothing to do with my computer. My computer usually tells me a lot less. The reason I like to schedule 24 hours (and I do schedule it before the trip) is because if I'm on a trip, I'm diving a lot. Probably a lot more than the average diver (okay, not the average diver here on the Board!). I may also be doing decompression dives on the trip. I'm pretty conservative when I dive. I always do extended safety stops or deco stops. I stay in the water for at least 10 minutes after surfacing. I carry gear back to the van in steps - gear I'm wearing, stage bottles (1 at a time), deco bottles (same), etc. And I pad my dive to fly time too. I know a diver who had similar practices. One day on a dive, he skipped the surface time, grabbed all his gear and headed for the truck. He took a ride in the chamber that night. Nothing wrong with being conservative. :D
