Just for clarity, I believe that was a dive op that filled their own tanks. Not Merry-D or Linn Mar. (Nor Aldora as they weren't making that sweet air yet.)
That's correct, for that incident. They lost a resort concession on it, but then things got quiet - as usual.

The tainted Meridiano tanks were a different case. These things get hushed up quickly tho, bad for tourism, so trails go cold fast.

With us keeping the pressure on Cozumel tank quality, and several compressor operators receiving free Anaolox systems from DAN, you'd expect the general results to be better than they used to be - as they seem so on the surface. No one checks or keeps records there tho, so you just never know. But then it also goes back to loaner tanks between dive ops, etc. - and you never know unless you test your own tanks yourself. I carry two testers when I dive actually, in case I have another accident with one. :silly:

So says our favorite conspiracy theorist... :D

Yeah, the last time I stayed at your favorite hotel, Tom & Eva were getting changes going well - and I got to talking with Tom about compressors. He told me that he had his own then, all electric so no CO risks. I tried to explain that those can indeed create their own CO internally by partial combustion of the lubricating oil, and operators who think that they can't are just wrong. Whether he believed me or what, who knows?

I never saw his setup, and he's gone now. I have no current knowledge of their air supplies. That trip I did refuse to dive on the last day because of the CO readings we got on several tanks, unless they'd turn the boat so we could dive shallow. I really wanted to dive Cathedral, but living to dive another day took precedence.
