Most nitrox tanks I see are marked with O2 % on a piece of tape. No MOD, no date, not testers initials. There are exceptions, but that's the way it's usually done.

Well I guess I'm back to just being responsible for myself. Obviously things are done differently in a lot of places. I will still follow the correct procedures.

yup, safety of your own is on your hands, however in the ligitagious (is there such a word?) cities, the balme of irresponsibility is blamed to others thru lawsuits.

A well you should. I wasn't objecting to the proceedures, merely to your statement that that's the way things are.

Walter you mean it is important to know what mix to bring on a dive and know the MOD of that mix? Geesh! Now you are saying that we need to know how to test our mix even though Joe Bob himself of Joe Bob's Bait and Scuba "Gar Run Teed" me that it was around 36% giv er take a bit.

A few little convulsions never killed anybody... er well.. not that many.. well.. no one I knew..... that well.

Someone teaching resort courses and half baked nitrox classes should be tarred / feathered/ and road out on a rail.

I just wonder how some people stare at themsleves long enough to shave every morning.

Any participant who catches a lobster weighing 16.0 pounds or more, will win $25,000.
So, if I get a 16lb loster, I get $25K? Cool!
