Hey guys, I'm a paintballer so i don't need information on diving, but i would like to know somethings about scuba tanks. Can i use a Nitrox Certified Tank and fill it with regular compressed air? This is what i fill my tank for my gun with and need to know if i can buy a nitrox certified. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Craig

sure. just scrape the Nitrox label off and you can fill it with air from now on.

Thanks rick, thats exactly what i was looking for. Thanks for the quick reply too.

I'd be leary of shooting Nitrox through a paint gun based on a higher oxygen concentration makes any carbons in the paint gun more flamable. Especially since some paints burn....

So what Rick said about scrapping off the Nirtox sticker and use regular air would be best, but make sure to "drain" the tank of the Nitrox before refilling it to get rid of the enriched oyxgen air in it. Wait and do it right before you fill it as an empty tank could invite mosture which could cause corrosion.
